Privacy policy

This policy explains how Inventure Technologies ("Inventure", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. We are a registered IT company in Lalitpur, Nepal, and we work with clients in Nepal and Australia.

We aim to handle personal information in line with Nepal's Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), and — where it applies to our work for Australian clients — the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we also respect the rights it gives you.

What we collect#

• Contact details you give us through our contact form, email or phone: your name, email address, phone number, company and the details of your enquiry.
• Customer account and billing information if you buy a service from us: billing contacts, invoices and payment records.
• Technical information when you visit our website: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics with IP anonymisation.
• Information in the systems we build, host or manage for clients. When we act for a client, the client decides what personal information is processed and remains responsible for it. We handle it only on their instructions and under our agreement with them.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use advertising cookies.

How we use personal information#

• To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for.
• To send invoices, manage your account and provide support.
• To keep our website and services secure and working properly.
• To understand which pages are useful, using aggregated analytics.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and analytics#

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent first. You can block cookies in your browser at any time; the website will still work.

Who we share information with#

We use trusted service providers to run our business. Depending on the service, these may include:

• OVHcloud — infrastructure (servers and storage) in the region you choose.
• Resend or Google Workspace — sending and receiving email.
• Google Analytics — website analytics.

They may only use the information to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Overseas disclosure#

Our team is based in Nepal. If you are in Australia, this means personal information you send us (for example, through our contact form) may be accessed from Nepal. For client systems that contain Australian personal information, we agree the hosting region with the client — for example, Sydney — and apply access controls such as named accounts, multi-factor authentication and access logging. How we protect personal information#

We use access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting, regular updates and backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

How long we keep it#

We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months unless you become a customer, and business records for as long as the law requires. We then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights#

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the relevant regulator — in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Automated decisions#

We do not make decisions about you using fully automated processes that significantly affect your rights or interests. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Changes to this policy#

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
